Where is grandma?

We went to visit G-Pop at his house today for the first time since Grandma died.

As soon as we walked in, Noah asked, "where is Grandma? Is she in heaven? Did she die?"

"Yes, she's in heaven," I said.

"Awww.  I want her to be here."

"Me too."

Funny things said lately...

Noah: "Tomorrow, I will tell a lie"
Me:  "Do you know what the bible says about lying?  It says you shouldn't lie."
Noah: "My bible says you should lie."

Noah: "Mommy, sing a song about a rubber ducky."
Me: "Rubber ducky you're the one, you make bathtime lots of fun..."
Noah: "That's a bad one.  I know a good song about a rubber ducky. "  To same tune... "Rubber ducky, you're not the one...that I will love you and so much fun.  You're the one that swims in the ocean and climbs up the ladder and then you splash and then climb a gate and then broke a gate and then sit in a chair and then broke the chair to pieces big chair and a little chair."

Noah:  "Tomorrow this horse is going to die"
Me: "I hope not.."
Noah:  "He's not dead!  Jesus, thank you for not dying my horse."

"I have a penis!"

These were the words to Noah's song as he was jumping up and down on the bed this morning, singing over and over, "I have a penis! I have a penis!"
Of course this was extremely appropriate timing because this morning as Ethan was getting dried off after his bath, he found his own, and he was quite fascinated by it for quite a few minutes.
Here we go again...

sweet words

Sitting at the table eating yogurt, Noah just said to me, "I won't lie to you mommy, " completely out of the blue.

"I won't lie to you either," I said.

"Thank you my sweet girl, " he responded.

Ready, Set, Go!

What a lovely time we had at Ikea yesterday with "Aunt Ready".  Of course the best part of the day was when Noah was telling her about the new ball pit we put up over by his toys, and said "I have a ball area."  Of course he does!

little monkey not so little

Of course this is amazing news.  Ethan is sitting on the couch eating a snack out of a bowl.  How did that happen so fast?  Slooooooooooow down little fella!

in Jesus name

This was overheard when Noah was playing with his toys...

"Get this to stick on here.  In Jesus name.  Amen."

That boy has such a gift for prayer it is really amazing.  I fully credit his father for this because he has been so faithful in teaching him!  Noah loves to pray and volunteers very often without prompting.  I also love his complete faith in God.  As soon as he is done he asks, "you feel better?" because he completely expects God to answer prayer, and answer quickly.  Prayer is also the first thing he asks for if he doesn't feel well, before he asks for medicine or anything else.   How I long to have the faith of a child!

Perfect loves

So I absolutely have to start capturing the adorableness of my children.  At the time of this post I have two precious boys: Noah, age 3 and Ethan, 8 months.  Of course they are perfect and gorgeous, but most of all they are hysterical.  Just this morning as we were waiting for Tam to bring Hollan over, Noah asked "Will Tam have her foot back on today?"  Which makes perfect sense considering she broke it, apparently off.
Also, as we were reading stories and still waiting, Ethan was holding a maraca and kept climbing on the book.  Noah was getting more and more frustrated every minute and finally said, "I think Ethan needs to stop before I slap him in the head with the macarena."
